I’ve been loving trying out Korean products for quite sometime now. I love how effective their products are especially their skincare line. A lot of positive reviews are in the internet raving for korean brands.
Althea Korea is an online retail store for Korean products and there where I bought my recent favorite BB cream, the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream.
I love using BB cream instead of foundation in my face because it’s lightweight and very easy to apply. Today, I am going to give my first impression review to this BB cream, the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream.
Product Description:
“Originally developed as a salve for patients after laser treatment, BB Cream’s soothing and regenerative properties were adapted for cosmetics to improve skin while providing coverage. The M Perfect Cover BB Cream is Missha’s most popular product with over 30 million sold worldwide. Combining cosmetics with skin care, this product promotes natural-looking coverage while providing sun protection, treating dark spots, and preventing wrinkles. The M Perfect Cover BB Cream is suitable for all skin types and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.”
This BB cream claims that it gives excellent coverage while healing visible wrinkles and blemishes. It also claims to prevent skin aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties.
The Packaging:
The product is safely sealed when it arrived and it comes in a box. It has a very sleek design in a maroon color and has a pump which is a plus for me. Contains 50ml of product, very handy and easy to use especially if you’re in a hurry.
My Experience:
I got the shade #23. One pump is enough for me to cover my face. Very lightweight and blends easily. This BB Cream has a gray neutral tone which is okay for me. This BB cream has a glowy, semi-matte finish. The consistency is very creamy. Another plus is that it has SPF 40 which is great especially when you are always exposed with the sun. The coverage for me is from light to medium but it’s buildabke as well. Applying the bb cream on my face, I use a wet makeup sponge for the product to sink in my skin. I also set it with a powder since I have oily skin.
 |
When swatched. As you can see it has that grayish undertone.
For the price point, the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is not that affordable for a BB cream. But if you want to invest for a long-lasting and effective one, this one might work for you. I bought it for P560.00 which is originally P1360. The product for me can last up to 4 hours. I use a blotting paper to get rid of the oil in my face and then set it again with a powder for a matte finish.

After blending
Overall, I can say that this BB Cream is not effective for my oily skin but I think this would work for dry to normal skin type.
But the thing that still made me love this about this BB cream even after having those cons is that even when you’re oily and you sweat, it still holds up pretty well.
PROS:
Semi-matte finish
light to medium coverage and is buildable
great for everyday use
CONS:
not compatible with oily skin
expensive for a bb cream
available online

Will I Buy It Again?
I don’t think so. Since there are more available BB creams in the market that are affordable and matches my skin type.
What do you think guys? Have you tried this product before? Let me know your thoughts about it.

The Packaging:
As always, the packaging is on flick. I really love the green and white accent of the bottle. Very simple.
My Experience:
I really love using the Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash, very gentle on the skin and has no smell at all. Been searching for a facial wash that will match my sensitive skin since I've been having breakouts lately because of my pregnancy. This product is thick and a little goes a long way with just a little amount of water added to it. I feel like it deep cleans while being gentle on my skin. The product removes make-up and dirt/oil. Within the first two uses I felt a different in my skin, it definitely moisturised my skin without leaving an oily residue.
This product is perfect for those who have acne prone/ sensitive skin. This cleanser doesn't dry and irritate the face which i find most acne facial cleansers do. I used to use acne facial washes but realized they just made my acne worse but this cleanser doesn't do that. The scent is also pretty pleasant and not over powering. For me it smells like Celeteque. Simple products do not leave my skin feeling oily or heavy. I really trust the Simple brand.
For Best Results:
Step 1: Wet face with warm water.
Step 2: Squeeze a small amount into hands and work into a lather.
Step 3: Massage gently in a circular motion onto wet skin.
Step 4: Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Avoid delicate eye area.
I bought this at Watsons for a Sale price of P399.00.
Pros:
- great for sensitive skin
- odorless
- organic
- moisturizes the face
- gentle on the skin
Cons:
- Sold out easily
- Expensive for me (but worth it)
Will I Buy this Again? Definitely Yes!

I already heard about this brand for so long but didn't bother to try it out. A lot of positive reviews about this soap is almost everywhere.
My friend introduced this brand of soap to me a long time ago but I just had this chance now to give my opinion about it I am talking about the Royale Beauty L-Glutapower Soap that has Glutathione and Vitamin E.
Product Claims:
Royale L-Gluta Power Soap from Royale Business Club has already been proven effective and safe for whitening your skin. Frequent use of this product will reduce hyper pigmentation and prevents spots from re-occurring.
Product Information:
Removes dark spots, reduces and gets rid of freckles, age spots, pimple marks. It also whitens, revives and nourishes to make your skin look supple, radiant and flawless.
Packaging:
The packaging is legit. It comes in a thick blue plastic box, very hygienic and properly labelled. You can see the manufacturing, batch and expiration date in the box. The box also has Directions and Instructions which is very helpful.
Ingredients:
Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Cocodiethanolamide, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Glutathione, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Papaya Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Perfume.
My Experience:
I used the Royale L-Gluta Power Soap for two weeks to test it. I have morena skin but I really love trying out whitening products. The white soap is covered with Royale Beauty logo and has pull to open tab for easy opening.
Just like other soaps, the bar melts quite quickly especially when placed in a soap dish and near the water faucet. After the day I used it, my skin feels tight and smooth. However, in my case, it tends to dry out my skin and there is a feeling of itchiness. But I still continue using the soap for another week. I can see that my skin is peeling a little bit so I guess it is a sign that my skin is changing but still it has that itchy feeling on me.
The scent is not so overpowering, instead it has a mild fresh scent which I really like.
We all have our different skin types so maybe you have different experience with me.When you use this soap, the results may vary however, it normally takes an average of 2-12 weeks before you see visible results. You may need to use more product to really see the effects.
Overall, it is effective in lightening the skin and helps in exfoliating. You may see visible results in just a few weeks. You may also want to use it with lotion or moisturizer so it won't dry out your skin and to prevent skin irritation.
I bought this for P190.00 which for me is okay.
Pros:
- very affordable for a whitening soap
- lathers very well
- nice scent
- whitens and exfoliates the skin
- available locally
Cons:
- dries out my skin
- an itchy feeling on me
- melts easily especially when in a soap dish
Will I Purchase It Again? Probably No.

I hope this is not too late to post, my product haul for the month of June.
I'v been raving these products for a long time and I'm so happy to finally purchase these beauty products.
All the products have been tested and will have a detailed review about them soon!
The products I bought were:
1. In2it Powder Foundation - There are a lot of positive reviews online about this product. I think this one is a refill for the original powder foundation. This could be used as a finishing touch or as a setting powder, but never use it for touch ups especially when you're oily like me and you need a few touch ups during the day.
2. Maybelline Eyeshadow Quad - Very easy for everyday use. It applies smoothly and has great pigmentation. I also love the color combination, it has natural shades.
3. Loreal True Match Liquid Foundation - This color matched my skin tone perfectly and I love the way they feel on my skin. The only thing I noticed is that it doesn't last long on my oily skin, so I need to use an oil sheet to clear the sebum on my face.
4. Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Mascara - . I love the wand and the formula and it is well suited to the eyelashes i have. my eyelashes are very short but black so the length can't be built up. Such a great price compared to some high end brands.
5. Ever Bilena Cheek Blush - I love this cheek blush 'coz it has that natural touch to it. It has a great staying power and very affordable.
6. Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel- Best drugstore gel liner so far. It doesn't smudge and very long lasting.
I am a big fan of drugstore makeup and trying them out. I love all of them and I want to recommend it to everyone to try.

I was looking for a sulfate-free conditioner to use for my brazilian treated hair. So I got the chance to grab the Loreal Everstrong Thickening Conditioner. This is a drugstore product and I love it!
So why use sulfate-free products? Mild detergents that don’t completely wash away your hair’s moisture. They have names that are a mouthful and sound similar to sulfates, like sodium lauryl sulfoacetate. And unlike traditional conditioner, sulfate-free ones don’t create as many suds.
Product Claims:
Nourishes Scalp
- Paraben-Free
- Sulfate-Free
- Natural Botanicals
Gently removes build up of excess oils, environmental pollutants and product build up for a clean, healthy scalp and thicker, stronger looking hair.
My Experience:
I have thick hair eversince and I am looking for a thickener that I could use every time I showered. This produces a thick, creamy lather so a little bit goes a long way. It gently cleans overly dry. I LOVE the smell of this shampoo. It smells so minty and fresh. It's wonderful. It's gives my hair volume and helps with breakage. My hair feels soft and has some extra body and natural shine. I bought it for P350.00 and I can say that it is pricey for a drugstore conditioner. It's gives my hair volume and helps with breakage. After continued use I do noticed that my hair is very soft and smooth. My mom shares this with me because she finds it really effective for her grumpy hair. I would definitely repurchase it.
Pros:
sulfate-free
fresh and minty scent
volumizes the hair minimize hair breakage
Cons:
pricey for a drugstore conditioner
Will I buy it again?
Definitely YES!
